Hello, travelers! Are you ready to explore something iconic and inspiring? If you’re still waiting for the perfect destination, it’s time to pack your bags and head to one of India’s proudest landmarks — The Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world.
Located in Kevadia, Gujarat, this monument is a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister and the Iron Man of India. He played a crucial role in unifying 562 princely states to form the Republic of India.
Inaugurated on October 31, 2018, the Statue of Unity stands 182 meters tall, nestled between the Satpura and Vindhyachal hills, near the Narmada River and Sardar Sarovar Dam. It’s built on Sadhu Bet hill, connected to the mainland via a 300-meter bridge.
To support the construction, farmers from across India donated over 5,000 tonnes of iron tools. Inside the statue, there’s a museum where you can explore Patel’s life and the statue’s creation.
Held every evening except Monday, this show uses vibrant lasers and impactful narration to showcase Sardar Patel’s legacy and role in India’s freedom.
This stunning 24-acre garden along the Narmada River boasts over 2.2 million plants and 300+ flower varieties, making it a photographer’s paradise.
Visit India’s third tallest concrete dam, which is also the world’s second-largest by concrete volume after the Grand Coulee Dam in the USA.
Enjoy a 45-minute boat ride amidst lush forests and tranquil water, managed by the Gujarat Forest Department. You can spot wildlife and breathe in serenity.
This 25-acre garden houses over 6 lakh cacti and succulents from 450 species, offering a unique desert-like experience near the riverbanks.
Take home a green memory! Ekta Nursery promotes eco-tourism by offering 3 lakh plants for sale and growing 7 lakh more as a symbol of unity.
Inspired by PM Narendra Modi, this interactive theme park teaches kids about nutrition and health through games and technology. It promotes the message: “Sahi Poshan, Desh Roshan.”
Explore this modern zoo featuring animals and birds from around the world. Set against the scenic Satpura hills, it’s a perfect blend of wildlife and nature.
Vishwa Van represents “Unity in Biodiversity”, featuring plants from all seven continents. It’s a peaceful, educational trail that showcases global flora.
The best season to visit is October to February, thanks to the pleasant weather. However, the site is open year-round from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Tuesday to Sunday).
Laser Show Timing: 7:30 PM daily, except on Mondays.
Closed on Mondays for maintenance.
