It is located on the foothills of the Aravalli Hills on the banks of the Harnav River with approximately 400 SQKM (99 acres).

This temple is located in Abhapur, which has three three-storied temples with a wall around it, having gates in the east and west.
On entering the temple, you can see the garbhagriha, antarala, and Gudhamandapa. There is also Yagnakunda, which is well carved in Vedi style in front of the temple
The carvings on exterior walls include double jangha adorned with images of Yama, Bhairava, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, Parvati, Indrani, Ganesha; social life scenes; bands of humans, elephants, swans, and plants.

The large sandstone temple, which is well carved on the ceiling and the temple walls. This Temple is built of two storeys with gundmandapa and antarala connected by trikamandapa at different levels.
On the doorframe of the temple, there is an image of Jain Tirthankara Parshwanatha with his attendant deity Padmavati on the sides. The size of the image is approximately 150 feet.
The pillar of this temple is carved similarly to the temple at Mount Abu.

The only temple with a kund in Polo Forest, with only the mandapa surviving to date. This temple is a sandstone temple with beautifully carved images of apsaras and Vyala.
There is a kund on the northwest side of the temple. It has steps made at right angles to go to the bottom of the kund. There are two ruined minor temples, probably dedicated to Lakshminarayan and Shakti, nearby, which are locally known as Sasu Vahu temples.

4. Harnav Dam:

The main dam site in Polo Forest is the Harnav Dam, located on the Harnav River is the main spot for tourists to enjoy the scenic beauty of Polo Forest and explore it at the same time. This dam is also known as Vanaj Dam by the locals of the Polo Forest.

How to Reach Polo Forest

By Road:- To reach Polo Forest by road, it will take almost 3 to 3.5 hours from Ahmedabad. The most common route is from Himmatnagar and Idar to reach Polo Forest.
By Train:- To reach Polo Forest by Train, you need to reach the Nearest railway station, which is Himmatnagar, and then you can travel to Polo Forest by taxi or bus. It takes 3-4 hours to reach Polo Forest by train.
